On May 19, 2026, the Thai Cabinet approved a revision to its visa-free policy. The 60-day tourist visa-free stay for citizens of 93 countries will be reverted to 30 days.
The effective date has not yet been announced; travelers can still enter with a 60-day stay for now.

No. A single IVF cycle, from ovarian stimulation to egg retrieval to fresh transfer, typically takes 15-20 days. A frozen embryo transfer (FET) cycle takes even less, about 12-15 days. A 30-day stay comfortably covers either.
1. PGT (genetic testing) with results waiting + frozen transfer: may take 45-60 days.
2. Back-to-back cycles.
For these cases, Thailand offers the Medical Treatment Visa (MT Visa). It allows a 90-day stay per entry and is renewable with a letter from a recognized Thai hospital.
