Clomid (clomiphene citrate) is an oral medication widely prescribed for ovulation induction in fertility care. Many patients tolerate the drug well and only experience mild, temporary symptoms during treatment.
Common reversible side effects include hot flashes, mood swings, breast tenderness, mild bloating and abdominal discomfort.
Some patients notice transient visual disturbances such as blurred spots. These symptoms usually disappear once you finish the medication course.
Severe adverse reactions are uncommon. The major risk to watch for is ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS). Seek prompt medical support if you face severe abdominal pain, rapid weight gain, or significant pelvic swelling.
Clomid must only be taken under supervision from a fertility specialist. Never adjust dosage on your own. Your doctor will use blood tests and ultrasound scans to monitor follicle response throughout your treatment cycle.
If you are planning ovulation-induction fertility treatment abroad, our team can walk you through monitoring and medication protocols for international patients.
